About Emily Duchscherer Kirk British Autistic Conceptual Artist
Emily Duchscherer Kirk is a British, autistic conceptual artist, and founder of Emily Duchscherer Kirk Studio Ltd in May 2026. Currently located at The Dye House, Old Tannery, Yeovil. It is an open art studio, gallery and creative space.
Open to visitors Wednesday - Friday 10 am - 5pm, Saturday and Sunday’s 11am - 4pm; Emily Duchscherer Kirk Studio Ltd is working artist studio, small art gallery and creative space.
Emily aims to create a place where visitors have the space, and materials to allow them to connect to their curiosity, and find joy taking time out of our busy, complex, technological lives.
EDK Studio, gallery and creative space wishes to make a place where creativity thrives, and the arts potential to support individuals and communities is recognised, and neurodiversity is celebrated.
This is a space where visual arts are accessible, and available to everyone.
Where learning through self led artistic creation, experimentation and exploration of materials and processes. Allowing personal decision making to take place in the making process.
This process is called arts based research in some academic humanities studies.
Artists call this Practice-based Research; where experimentation, exploration and refinement of our communications take place to share them with the rest of the world.
Emily believes everyone can benefit from these processes, and that everyone is creative as it is a human trait to be curious, and to try and understand ourselves, and the world around us.
The space was set up by Yeovil artist Emily Duchscherer Kirk set up in May 2026 as a limited company, specified as not of profit.
The open studio, gallery and creative space is open to visitors 5 days a week. It keeps running on sales of Emily’s meshy ink drawings, and experimental drawing sessions.

The space
The Studio
The studio occupies a multi-room space at The Dye House, Old Tannery, Yeovil. Each room serves a distinct purpose — and all are open to the public.
Art Studio & Gallery
Visit a working studio and contribute to the artist's work — original abstract paintings and What a MESH!, a participatory installation open for everyone.
Reading Room
A calm, quiet space for reading, making and unwinding. Free and open to all — no sign-in, no time limit. Books in all formats. Neurodivergent friendly.
Events & Community
Monthly book club and artist Exhibitions. Artists, musicians, artisans and writers of all disciplines are welcome.
